Alberta Witches Association
An educational based Pagan community within Alberta, Canada.

Hello lovely AWA members & visitors,
We are delighted to remind you that AWA is a cherished safe space for all who seek to explore, learn, and express their authentic selves. Our dedication to ensuring a secure and inclusive environment is unwavering, and we are committed to taking every necessary step to maintain this commitment.
In our efforts to safeguard the well-being of everyone within our community, we have established certain guidelines to follow. As much as we value diversity, we do not tolerate any form of drama, rudeness, bullying, or discrimination towards any individual. We firmly believe that mutual respect and understanding are the foundation of a thriving community.
To embrace the richness of our diverse community, AWA warmly welcomes male witches, witches of color, non-binary witches, trans witches, CIS witches, non-traditional witches, and all others. We celebrate and cherish the uniqueness that each member brings to our group.
As part of our ongoing commitment to protect our cherished members and spaces, we have implemented certain measures. We kindly request that Facebook profiles be at least one year old to gain approval for membership, unless you reach out to us directly. Sadly, we have encountered scammers creating fake accounts to access groups, and we must remain vigilant to keep our space safe.
If, for your own safety, you wish to create an account specifically for your witchy interests, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. You can reach out via private message or email at awamemberships@outlook.com. We are here to assist and ensure your experience within our community is enjoyable and secure.
Thank you all for contributing to the warmth and positivity that make AWA truly special. Let’s continue to support and uplift one another as we grow together on our magical journeys!
With love and light, The AWA Team

Land Acknowledgement
We at the Alberta Witches Association humbly acknowledge that we gather, learn, and grow on the sacred and traditional lands of many Indigenous peoples. Our work spans Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 territories, as well as parts of Treaties 4 and 10.
The City of Calgary resides on Treaty 7 territory, the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations, as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda), composed of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations. This land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
The City of Edmonton lies on Treaty 6 territory, which encompasses the traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, and Dene peoples. Edmonton has long been a gathering place for diverse Indigenous communities, including the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4.
These lands are not only rich in history but also carry deep spiritual significance. They hold the memories of countless generations who have walked these lands, cared for them, and honored their sacred connection to the Earth. The rivers, mountains, forests, and open skies have witnessed the stories of resilience, wisdom, and ceremony that continue to thrive in these territories.
As we engage in our practices and build community, we honor the ancestors, spirits, and living stewards of these lands. We express our gratitude to the Indigenous peoples who have shared their knowledge and traditions with care, ensuring these lands remain vibrant and alive.
We are committed to walking the path of reconciliation, cultivating respect, and fostering meaningful connections with the Indigenous communities who call these lands home. Together, we acknowledge our shared responsibility to honor and protect the land, water, and all that sustains us.
We’re Proud of Our Growing Community
Our community is constantly growing and we have to say, we’re very proud and humbled.
