**Witch Herb – Dandelion**
Today’s plant need absolutely no introduction, the mighty Dandelion. It is so common, and as I said, needs no introduction. However, how often do we think of this plant as one so completely powerful in magickal workings? I must admit, that while I use dandelion in my day to day, I did not often think to use it in magickal workings. Since beginning my journey with Hekate, I have consistently learned that plant spirit, in all it’s forms, is a most powerful ally. We work with it far more than we realize, and so I have since come to appreciate this plant in a completely different way. Today, I will share the general information, BUT, I am also going to share a simple spell, that has been helpful to me. I hope you all enjoy!

Dandelion can be used in poppets for healing, or used as a charm. You can use a wreath as a dandelion as an offering to Hekate. Create a crown to wear during ritual, and offer it at a crossroads when complete. As it is associated with the element of Air, you can adapt the energy to your specific use, and cast is into the wind (when the flower is fluffy and white). This allows the dandelion to act as a conduit, to see your spell take flight.

Reality Check Spell (pg. 122, “Entering Hekate’s Garden” by Cyndi Brannen)
Supplies:
** A fresh dandelion, or the dried plant material (this is what I have used, due to the time of year)
** Paper
** Pen
** Candle (yellow, or as always, white)
** Small bag (preferably yellow, however, I used a small, black sachet type bag from the dollar store)
Directions
** Cast your circle in your usual way (if you need assistance, please search the topics in the group as we have many methods available for circle casting)
** Sit inside your circle and make a list of your unrealistic expectations.
** Place the dandelion and list in the bag.
** Light the candle and place your talisman in front of it.
** Envision all those expectations being transformed into more realistic ones by the energy of the candle.
** When you are ready, express gratitude and release your circle.
** Carry your talisman with you. Light the candle daily to help with the transmutation process.
Whatever your use for dandelion, know that it has many.
