**Dark Magic and Shadow Work**
Some people love to talk about the dangers of dark magic, curses, and bad energy. They act like they are wise, but really, they are just scared. When life goes wrong, it’s easier to blame someone else, or some invisible force, than to look in the mirror.
Projection is a cheap trick. Instead of saying, “I’m angry, jealous, or hurting,” people say, “Someone is doing this to me.” Instead of doing the hard work, they attack others. That’s not wisdom. That’s hiding. That’s cowardice and weakness. It’s especially childish when the person doing the projection is not part of the witchcraft community; when they conveniently use the “occult” as a cheap fix and explanation for why their own lives are falling apart.
Real shadow work is ugly. It’s slow, embarrassing, and honest. It doesn’t mock people. It doesn’t make you feel better by making someone else look bad. It asks: “What part of this is my fault? What am I refusing to change?”
Hexxing, dark magick and curses are quiet. No real practitioner brags about it, or even speaks about it. Because that dilutes your focus, spreads out and thins your attention. Intention is enough; and any good practitioner, new or aged, knows this. All good spellwork comes with protection. And protection is often the strongest part of the spell. Anyone can send out a hex, but the part that protects you is the part that keeps your target away. Their lives falling apart is their own undoing because your protections are up. When they can’t access you, their energy becomes chaotic, and that translates into every facet of their lives.
Karma is not something we control as practitioners. If you believe otherwise, you are arrogant. Karma exists all around us. It keeps score, where we are too far from perfect to do so. When we mix our herbs and energies, add our fires and waters, we are directing Karma politely. What she chooses to do with it is often humbling. But that is why speaking on dark magick is unwise. Trust is required from the universe in order to receive.
There is no magic that punishes others while letting you off the hook. Cruelty doesn’t become a lesson just because you call it spiritual. Change isn’t about denying pain or circumstance. It’s about taking responsibility. It’s about peace, growth, and fixing yourself instead of attacking others. Shadow work, along with dark magick, must be done in the shadows; to fix the things in your own periphery. It is not a show; not a performance, and it is not an excuse to dilute your failures.
If your healing, your shadow work or your growth depends on someone else being wrong, then you aren’t ready for healing, shadow work or growth. And if your hexxing and dark magick depend solely on someone else being punished for things they have done to you, then you aren’t ready for hexxing, dark magick, or power.
If you are always focused on darkness, it’s because you’re afraid to face your own.
